Eggcellent Postcard

During this Easter time, so different to the one two years ago, I decided to create some postcards inspired by my Polish background. 





 I have mentioned it in the previous post (has it really been so long?) and some of the designs I have used then, found its way into these postcards.





 Polish Easter, is a very eggcentric (you get it?)  celebration, that's why the egg became the hero of the design.



I enjoyed making these two and more.

I was able to sent the postacrds to my family and friends, both in Poland and the rest of UK.

Hmm, I am not sure if this could be called a project. It's one drawing on which I am now working in between research and my work for the Polish school, where I volunteer.  I became interested in a show called Pushing Daisies, created by Bryan Fuller (the creator of Wonderfalls and Dead Like Me ).  This quirky series follows Ned (Lee Pace, Wonderfalls ), a young man with a very special gift. Potential Client - Dwie Siostry    Dwie Siostry is a publishing company based in Warsaw, Poland. It was established in 2005 by three friends: Joanna Rzyska, Jadwiga Jędras and Ewa Stiasny.  The publishers specialises in children's literature and puts pressure on the graphic design of the book. Books published by the company include:  Babcia na jabłoni ,  Mira Lobe  with illustrations of  Mirosław Pokor a, series about a detective, Ture Sventon by  Åke Holmberg , children's poems  Stanisław Jachowicz ,  Julian Tuwim  and  Aleksander Fredr a. Alumi Night

 Last Tuesday I had the opportunity of taking part in the exciting event, the 3rd Alumni Night of Stockport Art School. It included talks, advice, drinks and celebration for Stockport Art school students and alumni. The event was attended by graduates from the BA (Honours) and HND design programmes from years gone by with current creative students and invited for the occassion associates.   Stockport College has produced a number of art & design graduates. The ALUMNIGHT evening is a night of celebration and pride.  The night programme of Pecha Kucha presentations and informal talks covers the variety of work and practices from a range of alumni, who come from different design backgrounds.
