Poetic Comeback

 After many months of the pandemic work, I was able to catch a bit of a rest and sink myself into the task of writing poems. 

I appreciate each and every feedback that I receive in regards to my poetry. My style and repetitive themes are not to everyone's liking , but I enjoy the ability and a chance of noting down my thoughts in this way.

Using the available moment I have decided to share my poems with a wider public, therefore I have submitted three of my poems to the newest isse of ArtAscent magazine.

ArtAscent is an opportunity for indie writers and artists to show their works to a vast number of readers.
A submission to this popular magazine is considered as a milestone for the upcoming artists and a way of reaching higher level of feedback for those who are established in the field.

 Every two moths you have a chance at being published in the magazine via a themed call. Each theme is different and it depends on you, how you will respond to it. 
 I enjoy working to a theme, as it transports me to many places and emotions, allowing me to gather multiple responses, whether written or drawn.


 When the jury decided who will appear within the newest issue, the artist/writer will be asked to approve and confirm that there are no errors in the early version of the publication of their work. They will also receive a free digital copy of the magazine, before it goes to print.

 There are so many creative people, who submit their works to ArtAscent. I enjoy viewing their websites and works after they have been published.


 In the newest issue, themed ''Cold'', three of my poems have been published and I have received the Gold Writer award, which surprised and elated me.


 Alongside there is a side of critical feedback provided by Cinzia Franceschini, an Italian illustrator, who's website you can find here.


 Upon being selected and published, your work will be promoted through ArtAscent social media for the next two years.

Intro: Okay, I believe that his post is way long overdue. As an apology I will publish three posts that I should have written during the past month. FICTION AND REALITY The first brief of my second year Illustration course was focusing on collaboration. Working with second year graphic design students, we were divided into groups of three and four. Current Project

I am currently working on a children's book developed from an old Polish folk legend about a Golden Duck.  The short story follows a young poor shoemaker into finding a Golden Duck, who can make anyone rich, under certain condition, that they follow their rules.  In the end the legend talks about money not being the only important thing in the world, and that it won't bring anyone happiness unless you have someone to share it with.  The process of the book is still going, as although I have started in January, I went through a phase where I didn't enjoy my working method and decided to change it into a more mixed media of collage, watercolours and digital manipulation. I faced a brick wall when during a tutorial with my tutors I have been told that I need to change my font, because it just didn't fit the work.  So during the last week I had to create my own font and try to see how this one works with my work. Working on Parkinson's Disease

Couple of weeks ago, we were asked to choose one of two projects: -a mural in a care home for residents suffering from dementia; -a set of tools or a tool for children to inform them about Parkinson's Disease. We could choose either and choose whether we want to work individually or in pairs. I have decided to join my friend S., who has a similar style of work and way of working, to me. We have chosen the Parkinson's Disease and the creation of a tool for children. What is Parkinson's Disease?  Parkinson's disease is caused by a loss of nerve cells in part of the brain. This leads to a reduction in a chemical, called dopamine, in the brain.   Dopamine plays a vital role in regulating the movement of the body.
